Behind The Scenes

Indie Pop Films x Apartment D show how to make a stop-motion animated short film using felt puppets.

PRESS

NME

“The film tells the story of Awit, a toddler who grows closer to her mother every day as a single child. As she grows up, Awit’s mother conceives another child, putting a strain on their bond – but Awit learns to accept her sibling in order to reconnect with her mother.”

BANDWAGON

“The heartwarming short film is told through adorable little puppets, textured fabric, and capiz balls with a universal story about family in a Filipino setting.”

RAPPLER

“The tender tale is told in stop-motion animation that pays tribute to Filipino culture in its visuals, incorporating patterns inspired by the traditional weavers of the T'boli tribe, known as the dreamweavers.”

BUSINESS MIRROR

“The film is able to create a beautiful Filipino portrayal of how a child thinks and feels in a way that only stop motion could do.”
